Location:

Kennametal World Headquarters in Latrobe , PA   (40 miles east of Pittsburgh )

 

Education and Attributes:

Associates Degree, completed machinist or tool & die apprentice program or other relevant engineering degree is preferred, however, a suitable combination of training and educational programs is acceptable.

 

Job Description:

Kennametal is a market driven organization with a corporate goal of 40% of sales from new products. 

 

The Associate Application Engineer will be responsible to provide telephone application information support to customers, Telemarketing, Engineering, Product Marketing, Corporate Technology, and the Sales Representatives of all Kennametal Inc. metalworking market channels.  Specific accountabilities will include:

 

• Handle client calls to the application department.
• Ensure that client inquires are responded to by the appropriate Customer Application Support (CAS) staff. 
• Log client problem in the application database. 
• Identify monitors and report the nature of the client and product problems and maintain a plan for problem resolution. 
• Assign appropriate engineering, marketing or manufacturing resources, vendors to ensure the problem is resolved to the client’s satisfaction.
