USA, Inc., one of
the world’s largest producers of tungsten carbide and other ultra hard
material has an immediate opening for a METALLURGIST
at our US Headquarters in Metallurgist Develop and research new grades and coatings.
Formulate
graded powder mix calculations. Provide
cost justification for project implementation.
Analyze/recommend upgrades and modifications
of existing and/or new production standards.
Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and
confers with management to determine quality and reliability standards. Evaluate
data and provide reports to validate and indicate deviations from existing
standards. This position requires a
hands-on approach to provide technical support to internal operations.
Analyze materials using laboratory equipment.
Select and test raw materials and product for analysis.
Develop project status reports.
Set up and perform destructive and
nondestructive tests on materials. Bachelor’s
degree in Metallurgy, Material Science, Engineering or Science-related.field.
New graduate or with some experience preferred.
Must be organized, self-motivated, and able to read/interpret documents,
write routine reports and correspondence. Must
have excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable working in an Industrial
Laboratory environment. Basics of Microsoft products (word and excel) required.
Must be able to regularly lift up to 75 lb.
